SERVICES:Comprehensive School Health Education provides alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention, school-based curriculum as part of a program for grades Kindergarten through 12.
Training, Consultation and Technical Assistance in prevention strategies, coalition development, school-community linked services and asset building.
Student Assistance Programming implementation with specialized training for school personnel in developing the referral process and support groups, such as chemical awareness, children of alcoholics and anger management.
Crisis Response Programming which assists schools in developing the process and protocol for response to a crisis.

SERVICES:As the designated coordinating agency for substance abuse services in Macomb County, the Office of Substance Abuse is responsible for subcontracting with community agencies to provide publicly funded prevention and treatment services; provide support services in the areas of prevention, program development, evaluation, quality assurance, training, video resources, credentialing test, license review, recipient rights, consumer complaint resolution, data collection and management of covered substance abuse services for Medicaid beneficiaries. The Macomb County Substance Abuse Advisory Council provides a forum for public input on substance abuse services.
